SCIENTIFIC TALK ON “MOBILE PHONE & MOBILE TOWER: HEALTH HAZARDS”
“These days we have Smart phones, Smart cars, Smart boards, Smart everything, but consider this: if technology is getting smarter, does that mean humans are getting dumber?” Rebecca McNutt.
With the same view a scientific talk on “MOBILE PHONE & MOBILE TOWER: HEALTH HAZARDS” was arranged by Shobhit Deemed University, Meerut on 14th Nov. 2018 within university premises.
Prof.(Dr.) Asok De was the resource person for this noble talk. Sir has been Experienced Director in NIT Patna & NIT Durgapur with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Prof. De has worked on analytical and experimental studies of rectangular, Circular, triangular, elliptical Microstrip patch radiator.
"Health Risk depends on the proximity of a tower and the power transmitted by each antenna, the more power and the number of antenna, the higher the radiation, the maximum radiation is in the next direction of the building. That happens when the whole area is converted into an open microwave oven ". The guidelines of the Department of Telecommunications are effective. However, these concerns have been dismissed by network providers. People living within 50 to 300 meter radius are in the high radiation zone (dark blue) and are more prone to ill-effects of electromagnetic radiation. For adequate coverage, the city requires at least 2,000 cell phone towers. According to the network provider, "Every cancer is not related to radiation. There are other reasons besides radiation, which are responsible for cancer," a live example of this is suffering from many cases of cancer in the Vile Parle Building in Mumbai, which faces mobile radiation.
