Invited Talk on Recent Trends in Female Infertility
School of Biological Engineering & Life Sciences, Shobhit Deemed University, Meerut organized an invited talk on “Recent trends in female infertility” that was delivered by Dr. Malini Laloraya on 11th March, 2019 at 10:30 am. Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof.(Dr.) Amar P. Garg introduced the invited speaker, Dr. Malini and also described about the present day need of in vitro techniques for solving the infertility problems in females.
The lecture was then delivered by Dr. Malini Laloraya in which She described the various molecular mechanisms involved in embryo development, embryo hatching, and uterine receptivity for embryo implantation. She also talked about the understanding the pathogenesis of Polycystic Ovarian disease (PCOD) and Type1 Diabetes. She explained the concept of positive role of free radicals in female reproduction as early as 1989.
Dr. Malini Laloraya also described the role of different proteins including transcription factors like DOCK180 and autoimmune regulator (AIRE) in the process of embryo implantation. She also presented the positive effect of free radicals in the process of embryo implantation. She emphasized on various other factors like microRNAs and siRNAs in regulating the expression of proteins like STAT3 and Nitric oxide synthase (NOS).
CrkL is a co-activator of estrogen receptor alpha that enhances tumorigenic potential in cancer. A possible role of superoxide anion radical in the process of blastocyst implantation in Mus musculus.
The lecture finished with the presentation of bouquet and Sawl as token of thanks to Dr. Malini Laloraya.
