B.Tech. in Bio-Informatics (4 Years)

Program Overview

Bio-Informatics is about creating biological information and knowledge by the acquisition, archiving, integration, analysis and interpretation biological data. Centre for Bio-Informatics is to train experts who are capable of developing and managing informatics systems for agricultural and bioscience areas in our knowledge-based information society. Our graduates are able to understand the real production, operation and business models, and they are able to make information models and run them. They will solve problems related to informatics and information systems using rapidly-developing computing and telecommunication tools.

The ability to model, create or find suitable solution algorithms is also necessary. An important objective is to understand the agricultural, economic and administrative flows supported by informatics systems and to corporate with experts from other areas.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 10+2 with minimum 5 subjects passed with minimum 50% marks
  • Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects for all B.Tech. programs except Biotechnology/Biomedical/Agriculture Informatics. For B.Tech. Biotechnology/Biomedical, Physics and Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects. For B.Tech. Agriculture Informatics Physics and Biology/Agriculture as compulsory subjects.

  • Tuition Fees: 60,000/- (p.a.)
  • University Charges: 40,000/- (p.a.)
  • Refundable Security: 10,000/-
